Fluid Shad (colour series)

Fluid Shade (colour series)

Seven cylinders of thinly cut single-layered paper are attached to intricate geometric bases. A range of warm colours brings warmth to an industrial space while the fluid motion of rippling surfaces introduces an organic dimension. Electric bulbs and sunshine illuminate the shades in shifting patterns of light and shade.

Tree of Light

Tree of Light

A proposal for light festivals that upscales the methods used within Fluid Shade to produce an experience that aims to be soothing and enchanting for audiences. A third, two-thirds or a whole tree can be exhibited depending on the number of festivals invested in the project. Layers of laser-cut plywood make the tree's structure, lit from the inside by LED strip lights. Six curved rings of thinly cut paper (lit by warm white LED bulbs) ripple in the breeze generated by fans.

Eclipse

Eclipse builds on the successes of Solar (2015) while improving the structure and finish. Circles become a consistent theme in Teleri's work as she examines how minimalist shapes and lines can symbolise the power and sublime qualities of nature.

Gold (model)

Layers of lines form shimmering walls of gold and silver, while inset lighting produces a sky of stars. Gold is a model of a space within which the audience can experience a form of simplicity similar to star gazing.

Space

A large-scale work that transforms an entire room into a glowing immersive cylinder. The white paper is illuminated by natural and artificial light, creating a surface of gradiating colour. The overlapping edges form a band of depth between the sky and earth.

Linear

Linear examines how straight and overlapping edges of paper can be used to create a curved silhouette of varying hues. Straight lines are less likely to symbolise natural features yet can still be soothing and contemplative.
