Diamond Shade

An innovative approach to the cylindrical lampshade, Diamond Shade uses a hook-and-groove design that eliminates the need for glue or plastic when assembling. Four sheets of paper (two transparent and two opaque) are woven together using paper needles and slotted onto a plywood base.

Diamond Shade will bring warmth and sophistication to your space, whether it's your bedroom, living room, or study. The geometric design unifies the base and shade while offering a contemporary style that is minimalist yet decorative.

The sorbet yellow paper is sustainably made in the UK from FSC-certified, 100% virgin Elemental Chlorine Free fibre. The paper needles are made from 100% hemp paper and add a functional yet ornamental touch.

The lampshade is semi-assembled with instructions on how to finish putting it together.

Included in this pack

1 x paper shade

2 x paper needles

1 x plywood base

1 x instruction sheet

Dimensions

inner circle diameter: 3 cm

whole shade diameter: 24.5 cm

What kind of lightbulb and fixing?

Diamond Shade can be used with both Edison Screw E27 and Bayonet Cap B22d ceiling fixings and bulbs. We recommend using LED light bulbs that are no stronger than 6- to 9-watts. Bulbs and electrical fixings are not included.

Fire safety
The plywood base has been dipped in fire-retardant fluid. There is at least an 8cm gap between the paper-cylinder and bulb, if a 6cm wide (or smaller) LED bulb is used.

Recycle
The paper shade and paper needles can be recycled in your home recycling bin, while the plywood base can be taken to local Recycling Centres (this advice is for UK residents; please check for recycling options in other countries).
